I had an amazing stay. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and made check-in a breeze. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and surprisingly spacious for the price. The bed was comfortable, the WiFi was fast, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—everything I needed for a relaxing stay.

Extended Stay is a very nice place the have great front desk staff very knowledgeable and very professional and polite. The management is very nice and take care of what you need. The only thing is the room is too close to the lights outside and the curtains are not dark enough to make the room dark. And some of the other customers are very noisy and don’t respect other people staying there. And there is nothing the staff can do about the noise if they don’t hear or see it themselves. And a lot of people smoke in their rooms and it comes up into your room and when you don’t smoke you can’t stand the smell from other people smoke.

I stayed at Extended Stay America at 51 East State Parkway In Schaumburg Illinois.
It was and still is a great experience.
The front desk staff is very knowledgeable and professional, polite. The management always treats you like family and always says Good Morning. They are also willing to work with you on anything that you might need. I recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Chicago and or Schaumburg.The only bad thing was if someone was smoking cigarettes or weed you could smell it in your room.

Room next to outside light. Picture is at midnight since we checked in at 11:30pm. No shade and drapes did not close. Bathroom outlet did not work and outlet next to wall loose and possibly shorted since smelled smoke after a few minutes when something was plugged in to charge the phone. Charging plug extremely hot when went to unplug. Beds had plastic on them like you would see for bed wetters.
Under sheets was dirty and food like the sheets were not changed and need just made from last visitors. Sheets were dirty and either had waste on them or blood. Same for the lamp shade. Cabinets in kitchen loose and some fallen off. Room smelled like cigarette smoke and weed smoke from other rooms through bathroom ventilation. This is a smoke free hotel. When checking with the front desk shortly after midnight they offered for maintenance to stop by the next day to look at the items with issues. Being to late and after driving 12 hours we stayed the night and checked out first thing next morning around 9:30am. I'm sure we could have found other things but did not stay the original 4 nights. When mentioning the problems to the front desk they quickly offered the ability to cancel the remaining nights if out before 11am. This sounds like they are aware of the room and place visitors into this room late at night knowing they are stuck paying the one night then leave the next morning and still are able to make money on a room without needing to spend time or money on it

Room was below my expectations for the price point. Amenities were limited to one bar of soap and a few towels. There were utilities (fridge, microwave) but this didn't offset the fact that the place didn't feel particularly clean, although perhaps this was more a sense than the result of specific offenses.

The floors are thin. I heard my upstairs neighbor running around at 1am. Truly dumbfounding how much noise folks make at times.

The deadbolt for the door wouldn't engage. This was because the deadbolt was not in alignment with the hole cut in the frame.

Nothing notable to say about staff / service.

Location is close to a Dennys which is always a plus in my book, but unfortunately not enough to balance this experience out. Although this location will probably get the job done if you need a place to stay, you're probably better off paying $20 more for a 3-star hotel.

I used to stay here a lot, seems like they running this business under new management. So it use to be clean and no smell at all. Now, I try to avoid this hotel cause the smell in the room was unacceptable, it was smell like an Indian spices or something. I didn’t even stay all night I decide to check out in the middle of the night. I was so disappointed. Hope the fix that all and make it again clean and nice.

Noticed a few bugs during our stay but continue reading since it wasn’t all bad. 1.Can check in late in late if you call before midnight. 2.Noticed a stench of smoke while we stayed there(not cigarettes if you catch my drift) 3. You can stay under or around noisy neighbors 4. It is nightly rented so you can not stay more than 21 nights at a time. 5. Make sure everything works because you might be in a room where the refrigerator is noisy but only the freezer part works and you lose some of your food(due to spoilage). The staff is accommodating but you get what you pay for

This is the absolute worst hotel I have ever experienced. Dirty rooms. Broken lamps in the corners of my room. How are they running a hotel with no pillows? The beds feel like beds in county jail. The service is trash. I can’t sleep and I work in an hour. Smfh I’d give it negative stars if possible
