Das Hotel ist etwas vom Zentrum entfernt. Mit dem Auto ca. 35 Minuten. Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hotel, top! Renovierte Zimmer. Bett 1.60 groß. Babybett zwar vorhanden jedoch ohne richtige Matratze. Daher hat unser Kleiner bei uns im Bett dann geschlafen. Sehr nettes Personal.

I had my concerns with this hotel after seeing previous reviews. We stayed here for 4 days and it was reasonably priced and a good location. Yes it's a 30 min drive into Edinburgh but the amount I paid at this hotel for 4 days hotels in Edinburgh were charging for 1 night. The location is handy south Queensferry which is a local village is a very nice walk. I'll break down my experience.

1. The hotel doesn't look as bad as some people have mentioned. The service from majority of the staff was fine apart from the lady who did our check in. It seemed like asking her something was too much trouble. I asked her at 11.45 if someone can clean our room and she gave a weird answer saying it was too late although we had to let the reception know by 12

2. The room wasn't too bad I wasn't saying it was filthy but it wasn't the most clean. You have to request the room to be cleaned before 12pm and request clean towels etc etc. I have stayed in many premier inn branches never had I had to ask for my room to be cleaned you would think that's normal practice

Overall I probably would pay more and stay in Edinburgh as it would save me the journey time of travelling back and forth . With regards to the stay I would have to say I have mixed feelings. Would I stay there again ? Maybe not

We stayed over my birthday in late December till the new year. This hotel was affordable and was just off the main road, a half-an-hour drive from the city centre. It was very ideal for this reason. The staff were all really friendly and helpful eg providing us with an extra room key, smiling and saying “happy new year”. The only negative thing was that it could be hard to find a parking space if you stayed out too late. Overall, it was a very good stay.

A decent 23 minute walk downhill into Queensferry but a bit harder walking back, but managed it. Great views of all of the bridges close up. Next door to the hotel is a Brewers Fayre, which seemed to be always busy. McDonald's adjacent to the hotel. Some views of the new and old bridges. Hotel rooms as you'd expect are nice. Reception staff all lovely. Bus to Edinburgh is just a short walk away across the road, no. 73, it takes about an hour. Tesco store close by too. A good walk in Queensferry which takes you along the water.

Rooms are fine, but one general problem is recurring in Premier Inn after Brexit. Cleanliness isn't up to standard. This time the carpet was in real need of serious cleaning. The soles of my wife's slippers became almost black after a while, and the carpet was giving off an unpleasant smell after a few hours. When you walk in, just after cleaning it looks and smells okay but it's a superficial impression. A few hours later things are starting to get worse. This is the second time in a row that we've had experience substandard cleaning.

Never ever again!!! - heres the rundown||1. Air Vent – The air vent was filled with an alarming amount of dust, far beyond what could be explained by just a few weeks of neglect. It looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in months.|2. Basin – There were visible strands of hair around the basin. It was revolting and immediately made us question the overall hygiene of the room.|3. Bathroom Corner Behind Bin – Covered in dust. This level of neglect made us feel utterly uncomfortable.|4. Bed – A tear in the duvet cover was bad enough, but the bed itself had far worse issues:|o Bloodstain 1 – A visible drop of blood on the mattress protector.|o Bloodstain 2 – Another stain, which was even more distressing. How could this have been missed during cleaning?|o Yellow Stain – I dread to think what this was. It's completely inexcusable.|5. Carpet – The edges of the carpet were filthy, filled with dust, as if the room hadn’t seen a vacuum in weeks.|6. Headboard – Dust was visibly accumulated on the headboard, adding to the feeling of neglect.|7. Kettle – The kettle was so dirty that we didn’t even want to use it. We ended up going to the McDonald’s next door for coffee the next morning.|8. Kettle Tray – Finding hair in the kettle tray was yet another disturbing sign of how poorly the room had been cleaned.|9. Lamp – Dust was thickly layered across the lampshade. Again, another clear indication that proper cleaning procedures were not followed.|10. Room Thermostat – The thermostat didn’t work, but considering the state of the air vent, I’m relieved, as I wouldn't have wanted to breathe in air circulating from such a filthy source.|11. Table in the Room – There was an unidentifiable substance on the table, which only added to our disgust.|12. Shower – The shower area was an absolute disgrace. From dust to mould, hair, and rust, the condition of this bathroom was simply appalling. I can’t even bring myself to comment on the hard water deposits or rust.|13. Toilet – I’ll let the photos I have speak for themselves, but needless to say, this was yet another area of deep concern.

Hotel a bit tired. A couple of reception staff not great. On check in, one commented on my mother putting stuff from our journey in the bin outside before realising she was with us. When I went to book breakfast for the following morning another woman on reception didn’t even make eye contact with the man she was checking in as she was watching something on the screen in front of her. Big clump of hair in the bath plug that we had to remove before being able to bathe the toddler but everything else was clean and tidy. All other staff were great, particularly the man working in the restaurant in the evening we arrived 2/11 and the following morning 3/11.
