Wir waren hier über Nacht da wir einen guten Preis bekommen hatten und Chicago Downtown einfach zu teuer war. Das Hotel wird zur Zeit renoviert und daher gibt es kein richtiges Restaurant oder eine Bar. Frühstück und Abendessen wird in einem Meetingraum serviert, allerdings zu günstigeren Preisen. Das Personal war super freundlich.||Es gab nicht sehr viel Restaurants in der Nähe, man musste ins Auto steigen. Um nach Chicago zu kommen muss man eine Menge Verkehr in Kauf nehmen, aber es ist auf jeden Fall machbar.||Ich denke wenn die Renovierungsarbeiten abgeschlossen sind ist das Hotel wirklich gut. Der Pool war nicht sehr einladend und etwas klein, aber wir haben auch nur einen kurzen Blick darauf geworfen.

Das Renaissance North Shore liegt ca. 45 Minuten mit dem Zug von Chicago City entfernt in einem kleinen Städtchen im Nirgendwo. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, auf Wunsch gibt es einen Hotelshuttle zum/vom Bahnhof. Die Zimmer sind gross, geräumig, sauber und alles neu renoviert. Auch die Hotelbar läd zu einem gemütlichen Apéro ein. Die Zimmerpreise sind sehr moderat, dafür ist man auch weit weg von allem.

We stayed here tonight and had a wonderful experience. The front desk was incredibly helpful, we were given two complimentary drink coupons, then decided to also have dinner at the hotel. Dinner was delicious, fast, and the chef personally delivered it to us at the bar. Room was spacious and clean. Great stay overall. Will be back.

From the moment I sat down, they made me feel right at home with their warm, friendly demeanor. They were quick with recommendations, attentive without being overbearing, and their positive energy really made the whole experience enjoyable. It's clear they both take pride in their work and genuinely care about providing great service. They are what keeps me coming back to this hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel three times now. Every time I’ve been here it’s been great!! Nadia at the front desk is wonderful and goes above and beyond to accommodate! As a trucker I’m always looking for hotels with big parking lots and this one has it. Easy in easy out. Great location within walking distance of many restaurants. They also have a restaurant/bar in the lobby that’s top notch and a Ruth Chris steakhouse if you don’t feel like leaving. I’ve not had any issues with the noise from other rooms like other reviews have stated…I get up at 3-4am and if it wasn’t quiet I wouldn’t be staying here!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

The renovations that were made here was cheaply made. The elevators would stop and be out of service way too often. The room floors was very dusty even behind the tv. Don’t get me started on the tub 🤢. Staff does not provide clean towels, many came in with stains. I also requested a pillow, never came in. The walls in the room is so thin I can hear everything outside. The hallway floors looks like a hot mess. What’s going on? I came here to have a good stay and payed good money!! The best part of my stay was me leaving. 😂

The location is about 30-40 minutes to downtown Chicago if plan on visiting. Safe location, nice room. The beds were super comfortable as well the pillows. The parking is free which was nice. There are two sides to the hotel which both have the same level which is kinda confusing but rooms were modern and homey. Definitely recommend.

I almost don't want to give this place a great review because I don't want it to become too popular! This is your classic hotel, a bar, a restaurant and all of the amenities. The hallways look outdated and we were worried but once in our room, everything was perfect. We were in room 610, 1 king size bed. The room was clean, the floors were vinyl planks (no carpet, yay!!!) The bed was comfy. The TV was big and high quality. There was a small fridge!!! The website said there wouldn't be but there was (it was on the bottom shelf of the shelf stand) There was a full length mirror, desk, couch, coffee table, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and small lighted closet. The lights were different and you should take a few minutes to figure out where to turn them on and off. The nightstands look like they have a drawer but do not. The bathroom was clean and very nice with a walk-in shower and light up mirror and there were extra towels. Like most hotel rooms there is no fan in the bathroom. The bathroom had a glass "barn" door so there was a gap where you can see into the bathroom (something to be aware of if you like privacy). The staff was super nice and helpful! While we were there, there was a wedding so lots of noise and energy in the lobby and bar (something I love) but our room was peaceful and quiet. The workout room was decent but smelled like a stale restaurant. The treadmills were nice with a screen. We did not use the pool but I think they have one. Our floor had an ice machine. We will stay here again next time we're in town!
