Gratis Parking, Zimmer gross und Sauber. Kühlschrank ist auch da. Wir waren 7 Nächte im HolidayInn und es war eine gute Ausgangsposition um mit dem Auto nach LA und Vegas zufahren.||Pool war auch gut und sauber.||Frühstück, naja halt die Amerikaner.....||Zum Flughafen ca. 30-45 min Fahrt, ihr könnt auch um Mitternacht im Stau stehen. Halt LA....

Wir haben 2 Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht, als wir uns LA angeschaut haben. Die Lage ist ziemlich gut, man fühlt sich auch am Abend draußen noch sicher und in LA etwas zu erreichen dauert sowieso immer lange, egal von wo aus.|Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und die Zimmer schön und sauber.|Das Personal war sehr freundlich zu uns, wir haben sogar einen Tipp bekommen, was wir am Abend der Ankuft kurzfristig noch machen könnten.|Jederzeit wieder!

Very nice stay! The staff members were helpful and the property was neat and clean with a modern, comfortable feel. Nice variety for breakfast and plenty of hot coffee. Room was neat as a pin, bed was quite comfortable with two televisions in the room (one for the bed and the other for the sitting/workspace area), and the price was right. My streetside room even had a small balcony. Plenty of parking beside and behind the property with easy access to the freeway, without the noise. The local area is kept well, too. Overall, a very nice experience.

My husband and I had to travel from California to Arizona and we stayed at this hotel on our way up and had a very restful night and decided on our return trip that we would book it again. Had a wonderful night of sleep… Quiet… Comfortable and the price was reasonable. Once again, the staff was amazing and the breakfast was great! Would definitely stay there again.

Check in was quick and simple, very friendly staff. The suite was very spacious. Complete with everything I needed, except it would have been nice to have some complimentary water bottles. The spa tub was nice and relaxing after my trip, the full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash was nice, and there were plenty of towels. A magnifying mirror would have been nice, fortunately I always bring my own. The bed was SUPER comfortable and the bedding was nice with plenty of pillows. Breakfast was great, I was only missing some real half and half for my coffee. All in all it was a very nice stay.

This place is of poor management and not safe to stay at. Three events during our stay prompt this statement. An attack on another person inside one of the rooms was reported to the front desk. Only a young lady was on staff at 9:30pm the management refuses to hire security for the hotel.
Pasadena PD was called so we were told but management did not relieve the young staff members after traumatic event.

DoorDash and outside visitors are allowed to get on the elevator and to any floor they like on the 4 stories of hotel.
There is no lock down plan in place and there are three open access and egress doors that are not monitored to the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel for each night charged over $750/ night for king bed.

Traveler beware. Unsafe and lack of security makes this place a risk to stay at.

Also on one first day here, while having breakfast in the lobby area, a man with a mask entered the hotel and the solo young front staff person asked what he needed. He was a guest in the hotel. He walked over to the breakfast bar and the young lady cautioned him quietly that the breakfast cost if you are not a guest is $10.
He proceeded to spit in all trays of food, knocked all food containers onto the floor breaking many.

Put his hands into the chaffing pan and through apples, cinnamon rolls on the floor. Screaming at the top of his lungs profanity.

He took full plate of food tried to exited out back door but did not push the right handle. He came back to the front and began screaming at the young lady again yelling obscenities and making racist and image insults.

We suggested after this happened to management to give front desk staff and the lady serving in breakfast bar a break and management responded by saying they are fine.

Inside rooms the curtains are dirty and broken. Refrigerator not cooling and no top inside the room locked on door.
No room service or assistance with taxi is availability either.

In Pasadena we would have expected more. Have had many stays in holiday inn express hotels in the past and never one so mismanaged and unsafe.

The Housekeeper

Sadly I was disappointed with my stay at this Holiday Inn. We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in downtown Glendale and I liked that one a whole lot more. I found the room that we stayed at here to be way dirtier, old (needs renovation) and much smaller than the same room at the Downtown Glendale version. I wasn’t very comfortable in this place. Again as my name suggests. I am a housekeeper and this room didn’t meet my standards. I found it to be dusty, the tub walls needed a better scrub, and just an overall dirty room. Whoever was in charge of caulking for our room should be fired. Everything in the bathroom was re caulked sloppily which added to the grossness of the room. I didn’t feel comfortable here at all. A few pros is we didn’t really hear our neighbors, either they were better soundproofed or we didn’t have neighbors so that was a pro. Another pro was that there was items in the lobby for the fire victims which I thought was helpful.

I think this hotel desperately needs a renovation and more attention to detail in cleaning. But in housekeepings defense it is harder to clean something that looks bad because it has been poorly maintained.

My tip is skip this holiday inn and go to the one down the street in downtown Glendale instead.

If you're looking for a good hotel nearby the Pasadena Convention Center and you're on a budget, then the Holiday Inn Express in Pasadena is a pretty decent choice. I chose this hotel for the past two times that I've gone to the convention center, and it has everything that I expect from a good hotel: Clean rooms, friendly staff, free breakfast, and close range distance to your primary destination. The hotel staff was even nice enough to let me know that I had accidentally left one of my items on the front desk and held it for me until I could come back and retrieve it. The only downsides I was able to find is that there's not that many breakfast options for those who have gluten and dairy allergies like me (there was soy milk available which I did use for my coffee, but that was the only one I can think of), and I also found a few skid marks on the walls of my room, plus the cleanliness of the bathroom floor and hallway carpet was a bit questionable. Other than that, this is definitely a prime choice for those making last minute plans to visit the convention center.
