Disappointed

First off, can’t change my ‘name’ from ‘Disappointed’ from a different review a long time ago. :/

Enjoyed this hotel:

•Music playing in lobby and breakfast area was nice. Not loud, edgy or ‘canned’ but found it to be relaxing. Would rather listen to nice music then most MSM news (frustrating)

•Shout out for Mika at front desk. Professional, attentive, loved her personality.

•The employees seem upbeat/happy, which says (in my mind) they have a good manager.

•Breakfast was great, hit all the expected markers for HIE.

•The room was clean, except for the mold in sealant around tub. Preventative Maintenance lacking.

Very clean and very friendly staff. Rooms were spotless. Bed was nice and comfy. Had no issues with the room at all. They even provided personal hygiene supplies for the stay. And it was good products! Very impressed. Halls was quiet at night. I would most definitely stay here again. And would highly recommend it for anyone. Also had a great breakfast bar as well. Good food. Found that Junction City don’t have a lot to do, but was told that you would have to go to other towns. Great place to stay!!

I was about to take a shower before bed then brown water and sediment came pouring out the spout. I felt that if the water is like this, I can not feel safe about bedding or anything else in the room. Moses the night auditor was respectable and very polite. I assured him it was not his fault however I'm a long way from home to just shower in dirty water.

Quick and easy check in, very clean room, nicely updated, name brand shampoo, body wash, and conditioner provided, FANTASTIC free breakfast with many, many options, warm cookies in the evening. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel and we have stayed in MANY hotels and private rentals. I would definitely return again. If I had to make one comment it would be that our refrigerator wasn’t working super well in the room. Everything else - above par. You won’t be disappointed.

I stayed here twice within a week. Both times, the room was clean and quiet. The first room lacked a hair dryer, clock and bedside lighting. I told the clerk about it in the morning. Also, the fridge did not have a freezer compartment. I brought blue ice to keep my drinks cold during an 8-hour drive but I remedied not having a freezer by filling a bag with ice instead. The second time the room only lacked a clock. I guess that's no big deal since most folks use their cell phones but I like to glance at a clock if I wake up during the night, not having to pick up my phone. Breakfast was good with many choices, typical for this hotel. The second day, there was no coffee. The clerk said there was no hot water and that he tried to fix it during the night. I had to have my coffee, so I brewed two K-cups in the room, problem solved. I would also suggest that at this location they should not use the large coffee creamer bottles because the pump was clogged. There is an IHOP in walking distance and the location is very close to the I-64. One of the clerks I encountered there was Joshua. He was friendly and helpful.

Great room and better breakfast! Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast has so many options - something for everyone.

Excellent job on a very busy weekend. It was homecoming and 50th reunion weekend at the high school. Plus, a homecoming game at nearby Kansas State University. Staff was pleasant and made sure the free breakfast was well stocked for the crowd. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Only deficiency was a lack of grab bars in the bathtub/shower.

We stay in a lot of Holiday Inn Express properties all over the US, usually with our dog. This is one of the nicest and cleanest dog friendly properties and was such a pleasant surprise given the average review score. Breakfast was great (much better than the average), bed was very comfortable, AC worked great and wasn’t smelly, and you can’t beat the price! The only negative was the dog fee wasn’t posted on the website and I couldn’t get through by phone or email to inquire. It turned out it was $25 which is low for Holiday Inn Express & Suites. All in all, highly recommend this one!
