Wie so oft habe ich ein Zimmer in einem Premiere Inn gebucht nur wurde ich dieses Mal leider sehr enttäuscht. Das Hotel liegt eingeklemmt zwischen Autobahn und Eisenbahn, also egal in welhce Richtung man sein Zimmer kriegt es ist immer laut und sogar der Boden vibriert wenn ein Zug vorbei fährt. Dazu kommt, dass die Zimmer etwas heruntergewirtschaftet sind, leicht schmuddelig. Weiter hatte ich ein bestätigtes Kingsize-Bett gebucht, dieses aber nicht erhalten. Zum Glück war noch ein Zimmer (im Erdgeschoss!!) erhältlich direkt auf den Parkplatz, die parkierten Autos keinen Meter entfernt. Es ist mir ein Rätsel wie dieses Premiere Inn ein solch gutes Rating haben kann. Denn auch wenn mir eine Nacht erstattet wurde - was ich ausgesprochen nett finde, kann ich das Hotel nichtmal als 'befriedigend' bewerten. Das hat auch damit zu tun, dass man nicht wie üblich im Premiere Inn ein warems Frühstück Buffet hat sondern Eier und Speck beim explizit unfreundlichen Personal (ältere Dame) bestellen muss. Man erhält dann 'schwitzenden' Speck, eine Dosentomate, 2 halb-rohe Würstchen und eingetrocknete Beans. Wirklich, ich bin sehr enttäuscht von diesem Hotel. Der Service im Hotel war hingegen sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich - das muss schon erwähnt werden.

Sauberes, renoviertes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, freundlicher Service. Wir haben für 4 Tage ein Familienzimmer gebucht. Hat alles gut geklappt. Ist weiter zu empfehlen. Günstiger Preis, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Lovely clean hotel have stayed here before and is easy to get the train into Edinburgh. The new breakfast room is a great addition to the hotel. Breakfast was well cooked ane presented lovely. I even asked for extra tomatos to be cooked on both days and the chef did them for me. All the staff were friendly and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Location is excellent. away from the city centre to be reasonably priced but next to park and ride and the train station for a 7 minute journey into the city centre.
if you are a light sleeper make sure you have a front facing room as the back ones have train lines running by and the trains are very noisy !!!
The kitchen was closed due to oven problems but the pub, Cuddie Brae next door offered breakfast and evening meals and was excellent.
The reception staff were very friendly.
Our bathroom needed some attention... all around the skirting boards but the sanitary ware and tiles were clean and well looked after.

The hotel was just what we needed as a base for going to the theatre and the Christmas market.||It was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and courteous. It was nice to have both bath and shower.||We had the cooked breakfast and there was plenty of choice and it was well stocked.||The room was a little cooler than my liking I'm nesh but perfect for my daughter who is nott

We had two rooms. One was at the front of the hotel and one at the back. |The ones at the back have a train tack running along it.. some hurtle passed and are very noisy. |Our bathroom needed some attention around the skirting boards and the toilet. but the sanitary ware and tiles were kept very clean.|The kitchen overs werent open whilst we were there but this wasnt a problem as we were able to eat at the pub next door.|The best thing about this Premier Inn is the location. Whilst the train tracks brought noise issues it also mean that it was only a 5 minute walk to the station and a 7 minute journey into the city.

Breakfast was basic, nothing fancy.
Rooms good size & clean.
15 minutes with the train to the Royal Mile, about the same if you drive, 45 with the bus.
Free parking is a benefit.
A nice bar & grill right next door.
Very poor internet connection inside the rooms.

This Premier’s only saving grace is their amazing staff who, I imagine, have to take a lot of flack from disgruntled customers for the poor maintenance of this establishment. Ideally, it needs to be closed down and completely refurbished (see photos). |We paid almost £400 for four nights stay and felt ripped off. You pay for your stay up front, in good faith, and feel somewhat deflated and annoyed when you enter such a grubby room. |We would definitely not return.
