The list of issues at this hotel is endless --

Rooms: They are in a terrible state. I checked in and didn't do a full walk through of the room until the next morning. It was then that I noticed a dust film on nearly every surface (kitchen, dresser, desk, and nightstands) as well as finding crumbs and dust in the drawers and under the dresser, bed, and chair. No toilet paper and one trash bag for a two month stay was what I was provided with. It also had a stove that has no numbers on the dials, so it was a bit of a guessing game to use it. The bathroom is in quite the state with water damage and stains throughout on the walls, floorboards, and vanity and a shower/tub combo that has seen better days. Additionally, as other reviewers have mentioned, I have seen bugs on the property, but luckily not in my room.

Hotel Staff: Truly incompetent. Even after notifying them of the state of my room upon check-in, and finding someone else's credit card in my room, I still never received any sort of housekeeping. Their language and demeanor is consistently unprofessional; particularly the managers who are usually in back texting/scrolling on their phones while no one is available at the front desk. I had to go up several times just to finally find someone on more than one occasion. Asking for fresh linens, after housekeeping never came, was met with an incredibly rude response by the employee with only one shoe on. Rather than call guests to deal with customer service issues, they will just lock you out of your room and wait for you to come up to the desk. The low level of IQ that someone would have to have to do that as a first step is truly wild. I even tried checking out early, but the staff couldn't figure it out and wanted me to pay 25% over the normal rate while I waited several days until the manager was back. I refused, for obvious reasons, as that is a terrible idea to suggest. It's clear that these issues stem from the top, and the front line workers are suffering from poor leadership and guidance all around.

Amenities: It's bare bones with a gym and laundry facility. Neither are exactly well kept, and the laundry room clearly does not get the attention it needs. Not to mention the egregious pricing.

Save your time, money, and energy and stay with one of the other long-term hotel stay brands in the area (InTown or WoodSpring).

The recent flood of 5 star reviews is not a reflection of the hotel, but an attempt to inflate their rating with a "get a night free" promotion they have going on if you leave a review.

I've stayed at other Extended Stays & this is my favorite. The rooms are large & have a dishwasher & full size stove. The new Manager is very kind & friendly. The front desk staff is always friendly & helpful. The location is perfect you can walk to Yorktown mall.

Positive: The room was great. Negative: I used to come to this hotel often when Hotel employee was the manager. It was wonderful with a pleasant atmosphere and an amazing staff. This is not the hotel I remember. Not to mention, a woman kept ranting about roaches. I'm glad I didn't see any.

I am sincerely disappointed. I came here expecting a decent place to stay, after looking into the place, pictures, and website, and I can genuinely say I regret my stay. While arriving we were immediately met with disappointment. Being told something was wrong with one of the rooms and barely being refunded, things already started badly. Then seconds after actually going into our rooms, we were met with a putrid smell that only got worse throughout the hotel. It was genuinely unbearable and felt gross to even stand in. The website also deceives you thinking they’ll be actual breakfast but, would you call some coffee and oatmeal packet’s breakfast? Many things were wrong with the actual rooms (water pressure, closet, light bulbs) and to add onto the horror… there was a roach spotted. I usually like to see the best in everything but I can truly say this place is horrible and isn’t worth any of the money.

Absolutely terrible unless you want bed bugs and roaches I'd stay away. We had to put everything in trash bags to leave because of bed bugs. I have bites!!! we did NOT finish our stay we stayed up the 24 hrs and drove home. No way were we staying with bed bugs. The floors were sticky, the carpet was sticky. It smelled all the way up to the 4th floor. When we brought our concerns we were met with my worst fear she said who ever was in our room previously had to be removed due to bed bugs and roaches!!!! So bad it was effecting the other rooms. I knew I wasn't crazy!! I hope we are able to get a refund for our stay. Absolutely crazy they didn't disclose that before offering that room. Definitely avoid this place I'm sad who booked our room didn't read these reviews first!!

Since you replied our refund was not it. Hurt her credit because you deemed it NOT AN EMERGENCY. I have bed bug bites all down my leg I see that as an emergency and hope you refund her correctly!!!!! Just a complete joke.

*1 star is generous, but the review page made me give it a star.*
At checkin, the lady was not very friendly. I reserved a room for 6 people and got a room for only 4. Then we were told they didn't have any other rooms available. We were put on the top floor of the hotel. There were no smoking signs everywhere, but the hall smelled badly of Marijuana. The room had a full kitchen, with no kitchenware. There was a sign that said call the front desk to let them know what we needed and it would be delivered to our room. I did that and the lady was rude and said we don't have anything for you to use. Our refrigerator was broken, the maintenance man came up with a key for the room next door and said we could use the fridge in that one. We said ok. Thankfully we had been camping in Missouri for the past week and a half so I had a few supplies packed in my truck. So I went out with my husband and son to get some, but while walking past through the lobby, I over heard the lady at the front desk tell the maintenance man to check the room next to us in the middle of the night to make sure we didn't take anything out of that room. So I promptly went up and we moved the cooler back to our room and I gave them back the key to that room. I didn't appreciate being treated like a thief. The elevator kept breaking down, which was kind of the worst for me, because I am disabled. I walk with a cane and have trouble maneuvering stairs, walking very far, standing, bending and lifting. I even called a month before to make sure they knew that I need a disabiled accessibility option. They assured me there was nothing to worry about. I also have my older sister with me who is fully mentally impaired. While she does not have a walking disability, she does have trouble with steps. I tried to speak with the lady at the front desk about our complaints and she just said there was nothing she could do. I asked for the managers information and she handed me a business card. She said the manager would be here in the morning. She wasn't in until the afternoon, only after the elevator broke again and we were stuck in our room, and I called the corporate number to complain.

Review: Extended Stay America

I recently stayed at the Extended Stay America and my experience was nothing short of disappointing. The issues began right from the moment I checked in and persisted throughout my stay.

Horrible Management

The management at this location is, quite frankly, terrible. During check-in, the process was chaotic and disorganized. The front desk staff seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in providing assistance. When I tried to address concerns about my room, the manager was unresponsive and dismissive, showing a clear lack of concern for guest satisfaction.

Worst Room Service

The room service was appalling. My room was not cleaned properly before my arrival; there was visible dirt and grime in several areas, and the linens appeared unchanged. During my stay, despite repeated requests, my room was not serviced on time, and often the staff missed scheduled cleaning entirely. When they did show up, the cleaning was superficial at best, neglecting basic hygiene standards.

Lack of Staff

There is a significant shortage of staff at this hotel, which severely impacts the quality of service. On multiple occasions, I noticed the front desk was unattended, leaving guests waiting for long periods. This understaffing issue extended to all areas, resulting in delayed services and unavailability of basic amenities. The few staff members present were overworked and understandably unable to keep up with the demands of the guests.

Overall Experience

Overall, my stay at Extended Stay America was frustrating and unsatisfactory. The combination of poor management, abysmal room service, and a clear lack of adequate staffing makes it impossible for me to recommend this hotel. I sincerely hope that the management addresses these issues promptly, but until significant improvements are made, I would advise potential guests to consider other accommodations.
